Where are you from and where do you live now?

I grew up in Charleston, SC and I live in Nashville now!

What are your interests aside from fashion?

Music is definitely my first love, so performing and songwriting take up most of my time. I also love roller skating, and actually played roller derby for a few years!

What projects are you currently working on? What is your main focus career wise at the moment?

As a country artist, I'm usually either in the middle of a release cycle or planning the next one. At the moment, I'm preparing to release a new single called "Highway Honey" this month. I'm independent, so I control every aspect of the release, and they usually require lots of planning for things like ad campaigns, music videos and more.

What inspired you to start sharing your life with the world?

One of my favorite things about being a performing artist is the ability to share it with the world on social media. Recently, I started vlogging my adventures on the road while I'm on tour, and that's really been one of my favorite parts of the job this past year!

What do you love most about what you do?

I love the connections I make with fans, and the stories I get to share with the world. There is nothing more rewarding than putting out a song that people can relate and sing along to.

If you weren't currently working in fashion, what do you think you would be doing?

Fashion is one of the most fun parts of the music business, wihtout a doubt. But before I decided to pursue music full time, I actually considered studying to become a forensic psychologist.

What is the biggest piece of career advice you've received? What advice would you give?

I think the best piece of advice I've received in my career is that it takes a thousand "no's" before you get your "yes." What is meant for you will always come to you if you work hard and stay on your course! As far as advice I would give to anyone asking, I tell people to say "yes" as much as they can. You never know what seemingly small opportunity could lead you to your big break!

Describe your style in one sentence.

City-slicker sass mixed with small-town sensibilities.

Best piece of style advice?

Boots are always in season!

Who do you look to for style inspiration?

I always look up to my favorite women in music for style inspiration. Some of my current favorites are Shania Twain, Kelsea Ballerini, and Carrie Underwood.

What style are you most coveting for fall?

One of my favorite fall styles would have to be statement boots. Throw on a unique, fun boot with minimalistic leggings and an oversized sweater, and you're ready to go!

Which organization did you choose to donate to and why?

I chose Thorn because a favorite podcaster of mine brought the organization to my attention, and I think it's something that affects the whole world so deeply. Protecting children from sexual abuse is a cause that will make our wold safer, and I'm so grateful to Matisse for giving me the opportunity to give back through their program!

As part of Matisse's Give Back initiative and in partnership with our brand ambassadors, Matisse will match a percentage of sales associated with Haley's promo code in the form of a donation to Thorn.

After watching a disturbing documentary covering child sex trafficking in Cambodia, Thorn co-founders, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, recognized this topic as something they could not be silent about. Thus, Thorn was born. An organization that saw technology being used to carry out these crimes, they aim to build technology that can be utilized as part of the solution: defend children from sexual abuse.
